I started these bow tie placemats a while ago and just found the time to finish them. They are pictured in a quilting book and I had to have them. There originally were four but I noticed errors in two of them. Before they hit the trash my friend and neighbor said she'd like them so I finished them up for her. Mine are, however, error free. I'm not a great quilter but I try hard and I don't want a more experienced quilter to see what I should have caught. It's just this Virgo thing, you know?

Artist Choice Card Swap
For my SSuS Group Artist Choice Swap, I used StampinUp set, Cheep Talk, a new set that I just purchased. It turned out just like I wanted it to. It started off being a trifold but I ended up securing the first flap to the second and making it a regular card. This was fashioned after an Easter card that Lois showed us last year. It's always been a favorite so I used it for all kinds of different cards.
Birthday Cards
My friend, Rita, has an upcoming birthday and I used Regina Easter's, Cutting Cafe digital stamps, calendar template for this card. The stamps includes month, day and year and many different templates. While I was at it, I copied one of her cards. She is awesome and you just HAVE to visit her blogs at Hand to Paper, Cutting Cafe and Bitten By the Bug.
I used the same calendar template for Sue's birthday card and digital stamp from C.C. Designs, It's My Birthday. Sue's card was designed to sit out on a flat surface.
Weekly Wednesday Stampers
Lois brought this cute little baby bib card. It is very cute and would look great as a gift card. I don't know how she does it but she finds these great things for us to make. Thanks Lois.
Vickie brought this cute cracked eggs with chicks inside. She bought the chicks at Michaels and we cut the eggs from an oval. The flowers were punched. Add rafia and some crimped paper and voila! Cute card.
Vickie also brought the template and sample card for this cute little bunny. On the inside I stamped "Some bunny loves you". I can really see making a lot of these cards for the kids in my life.
