Halloween Album x2

Halloween came and went and memory documentation was the next step. I bought this album at the local scrapbooking store for my sister and her son's family. It was 15 pages of fun for the 1st one and kind of a dreaded repeat for the 2nd. I like to do things once and then on to another new project but I needed 2 for this project. So far it has received rave reviews. I do know what year it is but somehow it was changed and I didn't have time to change it.

Halloween Placemats

I made these placemats for my friend Lois for her birthday. These were so much fun to make. Happy Birthday Lois!

Wednesday Stamping Oct 21

This stamping day was a birthday celebration for Lois whose birthday is Oct 25. I made a Tex-Mex Tortilla Soup that was given in http://deedeecampbell.blogspot.com/ and Marie brought a delicious garden salad. For dessert, and because all of us are trying to diet, we had chocolate cupcakes made with a cake mix and can of pumpkin and topped with fat free Cool Whip. I forgot to take pictures of all the beautiful cards that were handmade and given to Lois. I suspect that in time they will show up on her blog, http://www.gingerbreadaholic.blogspot.com/.

As usual, each person brings a card and supplies for all of us to make. We walked away with some great cards. Thanks to all of my stamper friends because sometimes this is an added chore to our already busy lives.

Quilted Placemats

I love to make placemats and especially using fall colors. You start with a square in the middle and sew strips around it. It's a cut, sew and flip method and very fast. The next project is a Christmas table runner. It's probably the closest thing to a quilt that I'll ever do. I'm better with small projects.

Belated Birthday Card

I received this very sweet belated card from Kim Sears, my The Angel Company Demo. We started swapping when we were both Demos and we just never stopped. I have loved her cards from the beginning. She sent me the new fall/winter 2009 magalogue and it's a winner. Go visit her awesome blog at

Wednesday Sept 23 Stamping Club

Carolyn made the Halloween card using Stamps By Judith and a sample card from her website. Carolyn's added touch made it a hit and we all love it.

Lois made this trifold card to show us how the new StampinUp cups work. Oh my, what a fun card! So many possibilities....., oh geez.......

Marie makes us crazy thinking we won't like her cards. What is not to like??!!
The card is striking and we all loved the gold, the embossing, the ribbon, well, everything.

I made a fall card using one of Regina Easter's digital stamps from the Cutting Cafe.

Since that one was so quick and easy, I also had a Halloween card to do. The shoe was a download from Papercrafts magazine, Sept/Oct 2009 issue. I reduced it in size but plan to use the whole shoe as a card like they did.

We are missing 2 stampers. Laura went back to work and Vickie is taking care of her grandbaby and daughter. We miss them.

New Fall Bag

This is a new pattern for me. It is a Patchwork Purse and I found it in Antique Christmas Memories book by Judy Hansen. If you can cut, sew and flip, this pattern is very easy. I didn't do any quilting because I liked it as it is.

Christmas Placemats

I'm getting a jump on my Christmas sewing. I saw this placemat idea and pattern on You Can Make This web site (another place where my $$ seem to go). I chopped off the snowman's head because I haven't put his eyes in yet. I don't know how I want to do it so I'm sleeping on it. I used beads on the gingerbread man and wasn't crazy about it. Thanks to my quilting tutor, Denise, for helping me with the applique and quilting process.

Wednesday Stampers Cards

I'm behind in posting Wednesday cards so these are for a couple weeks. Hope you enjoy looking at them.

A Standing Card for My Buddy

My buddy, Jackie age 5, and I have a private swap going. I made her this one so she could stand it up on her side of the stamping table that she and Grandma share. This is one of Kim Hughes, http://www.paperhugs/, collection for Cornish Heritage Farms. Kim has moved to Arizona across town from me! I hope I get to meet her sometime. I'm a regular customer of hers. This is a tag from the Cricut Celebrations cartridge. I'm just finding out it's in there.

Little Girl's Top

I made this little top for my gr. niece, Elisa. It may be a little big for now but maybe next summer it will fit her.

Wednesday Stamping Day With Friends

I brought this fancy pencil to the group for everyone to make. This pattern was in CARDS book. They had several patterns complete with templates. I have used them all.

Vickie, www.havingfuntrying brought this card and StampinUp set, Good Cheer. It was perfect for this card. I haven't put the Stickles on it yet but you see how great it will be when it's completely finished.

Lois, aka http://www.gingerbreadaholic.blogspot.com/, made this card from a Dustin Pike digital image. It's a tri-fold card with ribbons on the inside. You can't see it well but we popped up the scarf and birdhouse.

Laura, www.sunshinestamper is with us stamping again but just until she finds another job. We will enjoy having her while we can. The papers were beautiful, the card turned out great. She and Lois both come up with different styles and tricky to arrange but they teach us well.

Polka Dot Dress

Summer dresses are fun to make and you can whip them up in no time. This is a dress for my teen niece.

Santa Fold-Out Card

Time to start the Christmas cards and Dustin Pike gave this image as a Wednesday freebie to get us going. Bless that man! I love this Santa guy. My purse has lost a few $$$ buying his digital images but they are wonderful and worth it. Laura and I both copied a basic fold-out card sent by Lois.
