Weekly Wednesday Cards

Vickie made this pretty cupcake card and used the new SU border punch that I have yet to get. The paper was great and I made my little oval tag with cute ribbon and wire say You're the Greatest. I must have been thinking about Vickie when I chose it.
Carolyn made this card from the SU Crazy For Cupcakes set. It was also Cuttlebugged and the paper was perfect for this card. Add ribbon and Stickles and it turned out beautiful.

Lois brought this card for all of us to make. It is cuttlebugged and the words were done by her. The cherry was a StampinUp stamp but not sure which set. The three cherries were covered with stickles and it is adorable.

Vickie's Valentine to Me

Each of us at Wednesday Stamping received a valentine with a heart that held a bag of chocolate kisses. Uh, I ate the candy so you don't see the full effect of the card. Hey, what can I say? The card pulled out to say Happy Valentines Day. Vickie is the best! Thanks girlfriend.

Lois Wednesday Card

Every Wednesday is "stamping day" at my house. We each bring a card to make and provide all the materials for it. Lois, our enabler StampinUp Demo, aka Gingerbreadaholic blogger, brought this StampinUp Level 3 hostess set to play with. The set is called Goody-Goody Gumdrops and if you see it, you WANT it but coming up with the $$$ is a long way away from my budget. This was a super fun card to make and with her papers, etc., it was adorable. Thanks Lois.

Vickie's Wednesday Card

Vickie made this great card with purchased flowers and jewels. Lots of cuttlebugging on here and I especially like the look of it with the rounded the corners on top. Add ribbon and greeting and this is absolutely beautiful.

My Wednesday Card

I ordered digi stamps from All That Scraps and the set is called It's My Birthday. I made it for a special friend whose birthday is coming up really soon.
I really like the idea of digi stamps. You get a file of stamps that you can print off whenever and on whatever paper you want. They sent them to me really quick as I wanted to show the card on Wednesday Card Day.

Carolyn's Wednesday Card

Carolyn brought this beautiful card made from StampinUp Crazy for Cupcakes. Can you tell that we love StampinUp sets? It is sparkly with stickles and I'm sorry if my photography isn't good enough to show it.

Marie's Wednesday Card

Marie used Inspired By Nature, StampinUp, to create this beautiful
card. She saw a similar one in PaperCrafts magazine. I plan on borrowing this set from her several times. It's on the dormant list so if you want it, better hurry.

What Is That, You Say?

How about Hyperbolic ball according to 1craftyboy. Alrighty then! As soon as I saw the pattern for this in Ravelry, I knew I had to get right on it and re-teach myself to crochet. I went straight to the internet and was reminded that it's pretty easy to single crochet. How about using this at the sink for dishes instead of a dishcloth (it's made of 100% cotton yarn) or in the shower instead of a washcloth. This project goes pretty fast and a couple hours later, voila!

Baby Congrats

My stamping buddy, Vickie, has a new baby grandson, her first. I've been anxious to make a card and knew all along which one to make. This idea and template was in Paper Trend magazine, Apr-May, 2007 but what can I say? I like my version better. Shaped cards are the best!

One of the "Love of My Life" Guys

This is Mac. He waited for us at the shelter until we showed up and we loved him at first site. That was 8 years ago and it seems we love him more and more each day (spoiled brat and all). He helps me do everything and I couldn't do it without him.

Little Boy Valentine

My friend, Marie, needed a card for her grandson but had no time to make it herself. Sam to the rescue! This is a monster guy (Cornish Heritage Farms, Kim Hughes design, Little Guy) hanging from string and when opened he lifts up to reveal "THIS MUCH". I like to make envelopes to match so I really have to scrimp to make sure I have enough paper. It was fun to make. Yeah Marie, you owe me.

Laura's Bathroom Shower Window

My friend, Laura, wanted me to make her a stained glass window for her shower in the main bathroom. This is what we came up with with her guidance on glass. This weekend I was called over because the rebar slipped and needed re-soldered. It's a great little window and looks absolutely fabulous (even if I do say so myself) installed. I took a picture with my camera but NOT! Didn't do it justice so here it is before installation.

Knitted Dishcloths

Do you just have to do something while you watch TV? I do. They make nice little gifts to give to people and they are really useful and wash up great. Yahoo has many knitting groups to join which means lots and lots of different patterns. Even if you are not very good at knitting, dishcloths are very easy to accomplish.

Valentine for Val

My friend, Val, and I have been swapping cards for many years. Although we have not officially met in person, I feel like I've known her a very long time. Her cards are a one-of-a-kind and she has taught me much. This is my valentine back to her. This set is a StampinUp set called Pun Fun and the card is called a "Z" card because of the folds. The saying at the bottem is "I stink you're sweet".

New Outfit for Emma

I like to make small clothes as I never get the fitting right for myself. This is a skirt and purse that I made for my great niece, Emma, age 4, in Indiana for Valentines Day. The sweater was bought at WalMart. Hopefully she will like it. My last outfit had a turtle neck top and she claimed it choked her! I've not had children so I'm learning as a great-aunt.

Valentine card

Who can resist these Gingersnaps stamps, Hey Cupid, that I saw on All That Scraps blog. I actually ordered Gingersnaps and Itzie Inkies Stamp set from C.C. Designs Rubber Stamps. I intend to frequent that blog and stamp company often.

What The Heck Am I Doing?

I never would have thought I'd even try blogging but I felt like this was a good way for people to see what I've been up to. I love looking at different blogs and have picked up such wonderful ideas. I have a Favorites List that goes on and on and I spend hours looking and learning. Thanks to my friends who have to put up with me and have given me such good feedback when I show them my crafts.
